Hi! I'm Hannah, and I am a Chinese-American storyboard artist, 2D animator, and character designer who currently attends Virginia Tech as a Creative Technologies Major. At the moment, I am currently working on my senior capstone project "The Book of Paimon," as well as maintaing a social media account on instagram (100K+ followers) centering around a personal project known as "The Apple and the Star."

I have over 4 years of academic and project based experience primarily in art direction, storyboarding, character design, and 2D animation.​ Storytelling has always been my biggest creative passion. I love creating original stories with memorable characters, complex backgrounds, and immersive worlds that audiences can really get lost in. I'm obsessed with genres related to mythology, fantasy, and magic, which is heavily reflected my work.

 

There's something exciting about exploring the impossible—the idea that a character can create something out of thin air or that an entirely new world can exist simply because someone imagined it! But, what I enjoy most is using my art to inspire creativity in others. I hope my work sparks the same sense of wonder and imagination that inspires me, and encourages people to create, explore, and tell stories of their own.
